IT asset value recovery for retired hardware.

Coretek 360 tests, repairs, reimages, and resells working hardware after a NIST 800-88 wipe, with the residual value from each asset itemized for you.

IT asset value recovery services that return money to your budget.

Retired hardware of every kind is valued, wiped, refurbished, and resold, with the residual value itemized by serial number. This is not the full list, so ask about anything you do not see.

  1. Asset Valuation

We review your inventory up front by make, model, age, and condition to show which equipment still holds residual value, what it may return, and what should go straight to R2v3 recycling.

    • Inventory reviewed by make, model, and age
    • Residual value estimated up front
    • A reuse or recycle path for each asset
  2. IT Equipment Buyback

Have equipment with market value? Coretek 360 buys used IT equipment of all kinds. Servers, storage arrays, switches, routers, firewalls, laptops, desktops, and monitors are common examples, not the limit. Send us your list, whatever is on it, and we will tell you what it is worth.

    • Servers and storage arrays
    • Switches, routers, and firewalls
    • Laptops, desktops, and workstations
    • Other equipment welcome, send your list
  3. Testing & Grading

Each asset is tested for function and graded for cosmetic condition, which sets both its path, resale or recycling, and its resale value. The grade is recorded against the serial number.

    • Functional testing
    • Cosmetic condition graded
    • Resale path set by grade
    • Grade recorded by serial
  4. Refurbishment & Repair

Hardware worth restoring is wiped to NIST 800-88, repaired with failed parts replaced, and reimaged so it is ready for its next user. Refurbishment is done at our facility, and test and repair is within the scope of our R2v3 certification.

    • Data wiped to NIST 800-88 first
    • Repairs and parts replacement
    • Clean images installed
    • Within our R2v3 certified scope
  5. IT Asset Remarketing

Refurbished equipment is remarketed through our sales channels, priced by grade and market, to recover the most residual value from each asset.

    • Sold through our sales channels
    • Priced by grade and market
    • Value returned to you
  6. Settlement Reporting

A settlement report itemizes the value returned from each asset by serial number, alongside the certificate of data destruction for its drive, so you can account for every dollar recovered.

    • Value itemized by serial
    • Every asset accounted for
    • Ready for finance and audit

Frequently asked questions about value recovery.

Direct answers on what resells, how it is wiped, and how the return is reported.

What hardware is worth recovering?

Equipment with life left in it, such as working laptops, desktops, servers, and network gear that is recent enough to resell. We review your inventory by make, model, age, and condition to estimate residual value up front, then test each asset at our facility to confirm its grade and path.

What happens to hardware we can resell?

It is tested, repaired where needed, and reimaged so it is ready for its next user, then remarketed through our sales channels, priced by grade and market. Before any of that, its drives are wiped to NIST 800-88 and verified. The sale is recorded against the asset's serial number in your settlement report.

Is our data removed before resale?

Yes. Every drive is wiped to NIST 800-88 and verified before any hardware is reused or resold, and a certificate of data destruction is issued for each serial number. Any drive that fails verification is shredded instead. The sanitization method appears in the final report alongside the resale record for that asset.

How do we see what our equipment returned?

You receive a settlement report that itemizes the value returned from each retired asset by serial number. It sits alongside the serialized asset report and certificates of data destruction, so finance can account for every dollar recovered and compliance can confirm each drive was sanitized before the hardware was resold.

What about hardware that has no resale value?

It is recycled through R2v3 certified downstream processors and documented through final disposition in the same report. Coretek 360 is also a RIOS Certified Recycler. Data bearing media is wiped or shredded first, with a certificate of data destruction per serial number, so recycled assets are documented to the same standard as resold ones.

Can we buy refurbished hardware from you?

Yes. Refurbished equipment is sold by Coretek Computers, a separate division of Coretek Enterprises LLC, at coretekcomputers.com. Every unit sold there has been tested, graded, repaired where needed, and reimaged, and its drive was wiped to NIST 800-88 and verified before resale. That is the same process we apply to the hardware we recover for clients.

How is hardware prepared for its next user?

Each asset is tested for function, graded for cosmetic condition, repaired with failed parts replaced, and given a clean image so it is ready to use. Its drive is wiped to NIST 800-88 before the image goes on. The grade and the work performed are recorded against the serial number in your report.

Is every recovered asset documented?

Yes. Each asset is logged by serial number at pickup and tracked through testing, refurbishment, and its sale or final disposition. The settlement report itemizes what each serial number returned, and the certificate of data destruction confirms its drive was sanitized. Together they give finance and compliance one record per asset.
